I especially liked the LABS section on Mashable! covering the Top 10 Video Sharing Sites. We’re briefly covering 3 of these: Xanga, Facebook and MySpace on our Interaction Design blog. (About Mashable — With more than 150,000 subscribers via email and RSS and in excess of 1 million monthly pageviews, Mashable is the world’s largest blog focused exclusively on social networks.)

I had the opportunity to attend the (1st Annual) Webmaster Jam last FRI + SAT here in Dallas and the speaker I was most excited about was JS.
I was not disappointed.
His presentation was so clever – Why Good Content Must Suck with a subtitle of “Designing for the Scent of Information.” Now the SUCK part is not as in BAD but rather, it’s like sucking the viewer into the site, to entice them in with content. He was utterly entertaining.
Let me highly recommend that you attend the second annual Webmaster Jam next year – even if it’s not in Dallas!

FYI: professional organization that met last THU – great mix of coders and designers. Plus a link to the presentation on prototyping. I work as an interaction designer so this was of great interest and very topical.

I was just working on our team blog and noticed that ‘hot blog’ listing at the left while logged into wordpress.com.
What caught my eye was the “Anousheh Ansari Space Blog” so I clicked and was truly amazed to learn that this first woman space tourist was due to blastoff into space in just mere moments!
I quickly scanned through the posts and saw that the coverage was being carried live on NASA TV. So we tuned in and it was so very cool to see the preparation and takeoff and all the coverage of Expedition 14.
Who knew doing a little homework for the emac class could become so very engaging, mixing up all the media – tv, online blogs and CNN videos!
(see my post which was actually published at 10:50ish…)
Blogging to blog to real life events happening on the other side of the globe. And… high above our globe. Wow.

Read about:
The new iPods and iTunes on the corporate Apple page dedicated to hot news. Even as we’re podcasting, the technology is changing again.

Can I still vote on doing the Pandora event? I vote yes and is the plan to meet there on THU @ the Magnolia?
